Description
It was no hard yakka – pun intended – to drink this wine. With aromas of black cherries, white pepper and baking spices and flavours of dark chocolate and coffee it also has toasty oak characters, perfectly balanced tannin and a long clean finish. Excellent to drink now and will also benefit with a few years cellaring. The wine is named after a tree on the vineyard called Xanthorrhoea semiplana – thankfully, Yakka for short.
