Area: Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale

Premium Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris) grapes were harvested at night to keep the juice in optimum condition. One of the reasons for night harvest – low temperatures limit evaporation and oxidation.

The bouquet of the wine shows fresh tropical fruit characters with melon and lime.

The flavour is generous and balances with soft acidity. This wine has a very nice lingering aftertaste and is clean and fruity.

Alc. 12.8% v/v

John is a friend of Bad Boys. He has worked alongside Max Schubert, the original Penfolds Grange Hermitage winemaker, and Don Ditter who took over from Max. He gained experience working on the now famous Penfolds Bin 707, St Henri and Bin 389. He has since worked in NZ for Penfolds, working in Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne there for some years before settling in the Hunter Valley where he worked for Orlando as GM. John has won numerous awards for his wines, for example, as the most successful Exhibitor at the Hunter Valley Wine Show, winning 8 Trophies, including the Best Red Wine of the Show in 1990 and 1991. The list of accolades is long.

John now consults for a number of small wineries and makes and distributes his own range of fine wines, showcasing his experience.

We are pleased that we can offer his wine to everyone who is Bad out there.

We’ve got a great mix of his wines and great prices. If at any time you have questions about his wines, please call us.
